Phil is Professor of Housing and Communities at the University of Huddersfield. His work broadly aims to understand and contribute to alleviating the housing and neighbourhood inequalities experienced by members of particular marginalised communities. His current research focuses on migration, housing and mutual aid. He is Chair of the UKs Housing Studies Association, is a member of Fair Housing Futures Partnership Board and sits on the Editorial Board of Thinkhouse.
