Webinar: Innovation in Housing Advice in the UK Private Rented Sector
Join CaCHE colleagues to discuss the latest report from their on-going programme of work on ‘Raising the Standards of the UK Private Rented Sector’
Webinar information
People living in the UK private rented sector face numerous challenges to accessing advice. Advice journeys are often protracted and complicated with problems escalating as primary needs remain unaddressed. The serious repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic suggests that advice is likely to play an increasingly important role in the prevention of homelessness.
This event provides an opportunity to discuss and learn more about our recent report entitled ‘Innovation in Housing Advice in the UK private rented sector‘. The report draws on case studies and qualitative interviews with advice providers and their clients.
Join Dr Jennifer Harris (Senior Researcher, CaCHE) and guest, Elizabeth O’Hara, (housing practitioner with a background in providing independent advice services to those in housing need) to explore examples of innovation in the provision of housing advice in the private rented sector and discuss recommendations for improving the provision of advice to meet the needs of different clients and to maximise the use of technology.
